How I work
Chakra awareness
An optional part of my integrated approach, drawing on an energy framework rooted in Indian traditions. You can work with me without using it.

How I use the framework
The chakra system describes seven main energy centres, associated with themes such as safety, expression and connection.
I use it to guide reflection and energy based work: difficulty expressing a need, discomfort receiving support, how you feel when setting a boundary.
Your account of your experience remains the starting point. An interpretation within this framework does not establish a fact about you or diagnose a condition.
What happens in a session?
01
Explained first
I explain the assessment or balancing practice and ask whether you're comfortable proceeding.
02
Consent to touch
If a practice involves touch, I explain where and why first. You can decline or ask to stop.
03
Time to reflect
We discuss what you noticed, which may be very little, and whether it connects to your concern.
Some clients choose to include it. Others stay with hypnotherapy, conversation and somatic practices.
Questions about chakra awareness
Do I need to believe in chakras?
No. I explain the framework so you can decide whether to explore it. You don't need to agree with an interpretation or describe an experience you haven't had.
Is this a medical assessment?
No. Chakra assessment is an interpretation within an energy based framework. It cannot diagnose a physical or mental health condition or replace assessment by a qualified healthcare professional.
Does a physical sensation mean a chakra is blocked?
A sensation alone does not establish that. We can discuss what you notice without assigning it a fixed explanation. New or persistent physical symptoms should be assessed by a qualified healthcare professional.
Is chakra work included in every session?
No. It is optional and discussed before use. You can choose to leave it out of your sessions.
Can it be included online?
I include chakra based reflection and distance energy practices online. Hands on practices are only available in person. We discuss what the online process involves first.
Is this religious?
The framework has roots in Indian spiritual and philosophical traditions. Sessions do not require religious participation or adopting a particular belief.
Can I book chakra work separately?
No. It is included within integrated sessions rather than booked as a separate service. We begin with a consultation about your concern.

Ask about the approach.
In a 20 minute consultation, discuss what you'd like help with and ask about the practices I use.
